Online Piano Lessons from University City, Philadelphia, PA

Introduction:

Hello! My name is Allison Bratlie and I am so excited to be teaching online lessons. I have been a pianist and vocalist for over 10 years. I have also accompanied singers and I am a classically trained singer myself. In the past, I have held multiple music related jobs including being a Teacher's Aide and Musical Assistant. I am in the process of obtaining my Bachelors of Music in Music Education - Vocal K-12. I have had real-world experience in all sorts of classrooms, with students ranging from ages 5-18. I am excited to continue my experience in working with students. If you are at all interested in taking voice or piano lessons, please consider booking with me!

Availability:

I am available to teach lessons the following days:

Mondays: 9:00am-5:00pm

Tuesdays: 9:00am-5:00pm

Wednesdays: 9:00am-1:00pm

I will only be teaching lessons from June 1st - August 5th, as this is a temporary position.

General Lesson Rules:

I will only be offering online lessons for students, so when you book with me please keep the following in mind:

- Make sure you have a piano/keyboard at home and/or have a reliable space with access to a piano/keyboard.

- Make sure you own a device that is compatible with virtual meeting websites (Zoom, Google Meets, etc.).

- Please be aware that you must be willing to have your camera and microphone on during lessons so I can see and hear you.

- Ensure the space you are using is quiet and allows you to focus in the best way possible.

- Please note I will need to see your hands while you are playing piano, so consider having a small table next to your piano/keyboard that allows the camera angle to display your hands as well as the piano/keyboard.

Teaching Philosophy:

When it comes to teaching, I believe that every student deserves to work in a safe and welcoming learning environment. I strive for each student to feel supported while also having fun and learning. I recognize that not all students work at the same level and I strive to meet them wherever they are in their musical journey. I hope to create an inspiring, welcoming and musical space for all of my students. Music education is very important to me and I am so glad I get the opportunity to work with students!
