Hi there, my name is Becky Jones and I've been teaching piano since 2005. Teaching is my passion and I love helping people reach their goals in music. I believe every student is different and needs a uniquely crafted approach to their lessons. When I'm teaching kids, I really want to have parental support for goal setting and practicing. Regardless of their age, some students will need a lighthearted and playful approach while others need stronger, but encouraging leadership. I want to help each student reach their specific goals and help them set short and long term goals, so they can track their progress.

Before we begin lessons, I will ask you about why you decided to take lessons and what you would like to accomplish with your learning. I'll ask you if you prefer gentle teaching or stronger leadership. I'll try to get to know you a little bit, so we can tailor lessons to your learning style and needs.

I am generally a very positive, upbeat, and patient person who loves to inspire and encourage people. I'm also an experienced singer and I love to incorporate singing into our lessons when the student feels comfortable.

I typically use the Faber and Faber piano lesson series or the Alfred's Basic piano series, with the lesson and theory books.

I have extensive performance experience and I can help you prepare for musical performances.

I also am a Music Worship Pastor and can teach worship piano that focuses more on chording than the traditional sheet music learning.

About me: I've been married to my husband since 2008 and we have 2 amazing kids. My favorite kinds of music are Christian worship music and classical music. My favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends. I love to laugh and to make other people's day by encouraging them with kindness. I love to sing and play the piano.
