Hi. My name is Dena and I have been teaching music (all instruments) for over 30 years. I have degrees in music, psychology, and biology (how the brain learns). I work with special needs as well as mainstream students of all ages. I do not believe in a stressful learning environment. If a student has trouble with something I will write an exercise or song to help them master the skill. I cater lessons to each student's abilities so no 2 students are the same. You can learn in a positive environment where you are praised for what you learn and helped with what you find confusing. Since I write music, I can always prepare something for the student to make learning more enjoyable. Music should be fun to learn and you should have someone on the journey with you who is supporting you. I'd love to be a part of your musical journey!
