I’m a self-taught musician who loves to teach my students in the same manner that I learned myself. I can’t sight read, but my strength is in note recognition and how to identify chords by the bass note and how to identify melodies…all by ear. So strong ear training is a focal point of my lessons. Not every student will find my method of teaching easy, mainly because it isn’t regimented and there isn’t notation you can just look at to learn in this manner…however, being self-taught is a very coveted ability, and I can teach you the ways in which I was able to teach myself. It would be an honor to teach you my abilities, and I assure you that these self-teaching techniques will improve your musicianship overall even if you do elect to learn how to sight-read later on in your music career. I only teach beginner level piano, guitar, bass, and drums. I look forward to teaching you.
