About Me

With over 12 years of piano teaching experience and a decade in public school music education, I bring both depth and versatility to every lesson I teach. I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education, and my work in the classroom has shaped a teaching philosophy that is structured, student-centered, and deeply rooted in musical artistry.

My approach to piano instruction goes beyond simply learning notes on a page. I focus on developing well-rounded musicians—students who understand the “why” behind the music, not just the “how.” Technique, theory, ear training, and expression are all integrated into lessons in a way that feels both intentional and engaging. Whether a student is preparing for a performance, building foundational skills, or simply playing for enjoyment, I tailor each lesson to meet their individual goals.

Throughout my teaching career, I’ve guided students to achieve high levels of success, including performances at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall through competitive piano programs. These experiences reflect not only strong technical preparation, but also the confidence and musicality that I strive to instill in every student.

In addition to private instruction, I serve as an accompanist for choir programs within my school district, collaborating with student musicians on a daily basis. This work reinforces one of my core beliefs: music is meant to be shared. I emphasize listening, collaboration, and expressive playing so that students feel connected—not just to the instrument, but to the music itself.

My virtual studio is designed to provide the same level of personalization and excellence as an in-person experience, with the added flexibility and convenience of online learning. I aim to create an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired—because when students are engaged and confident, real musical growth happens.
