My goal as a teacher is to foster an enlightening, encouraging, and engaging environment for students of all ages to learn piano. I believe that cultivating a strong foundation in piano and music theory is essential to advancing as a musician and becoming a professional, and I aim to help all my students unlock their fullest potential. Moreover, learning piano has several transferable values. Besides being a creative artist, it develops skills of determination, discipline, emotional awareness, adaptability, and confidence.

I started learning piano when I was six years old and have around 12 years of experience. Since age six, I've performed in various piano recitals and competitions. I furthered my piano endeavors by taking piano exams and earning all A's in GUILD Preparatory levels A, C, and D levels. While studying music at Baylor University and California Baptist University, I continued taking classical and gospel/improvisation piano lessons. Furthermore, I served in the church for around 5 years, so I am familiar with playing the piano in a congregational setting. In my free time, I enjoy playing pop piano and singing, so I'm familiar with playing piano as an accompaniment instrument.

I currently teach piano to students of all ages and foster an environment of motivation, encouragement, engagement, and joy. With my experience as a solo pianist and playing piano as an accompaniment instrument, my piano skills have been used in versatile environments - professionally and casually. With this exposure, I am open to teaching piano in various contexts to students of all ages. Students looking to learn professionally or recreationally, or students learning different genres such as classical, pop, and gospel, I have a passion and drive to teach to the best of my abilities. Regardless of students' intentions for learning piano or the genre, I aim to help all my students unlock their fullest potential as musicians and individuals, nurturing a lifelong passion for music.
