Hi! My name is Isabelle Thomas. I am a PhD Music Theory student at Ohio State University. I have my Bachelor in Music (BM) degree in Music Education Classical Percussion from William Paterson University in NJ and have my Master of Arts (MA) degree in Music Theory from Ohio State University. I have been playing piano for over 15 years and have been teaching piano for 6 years. I also teach classical percussion, music theory lessons, and early childhood music education, as well music direct for theatre. I have experience working with students of all different abilities, ages, needs, and levels. My teaching philosophy is grounded in meeting the student where they are at and helping them grow and reach their full potential. I tailor each lesson plan and overall education plan to each student's individual learning needs. I continuously assess their progress and adjust my approach to ensure they feel supported, challenged, and confident in their growth. I want my students to have fun in our lessons as well as have an enriching educational experience. I strive to create a learning environment that is a safe and open space for my students to explore and enjoy music, as well as hone in on their skills. With me, students can expect to advance in their musical knowledge, grow as a performer, and enjoy the magic of music making!

Some fun facts about me are I have a cat named Willow, I love Taylor Swift, and I'm an avid crafter!
