I have been teaching for a little over a year. I've been playing the piano for fourteen years. I begin by teaching my students where the keys on the piano are and how to read sheet music before we get into playing the piano. One of the special teaching techniques I have is having kids play games that require hand-eye coordination. Playing those types of games help with teaching students how to multitask using their hands and their eyes. They need that skill to be able to play the piano and read the music. I believe in teaching kids how to be able to be independent in their practice. They will learn techniques that will help them to be able to look at a piece of music and know how to break it down to make learning the music easier and more efficient. Piano is a skill that takes years to learn and I would love to help you along your journey!
