Hi! My name is Kinesa, but you can call me, "Kay". I'm very excited to be here! I first started playing piano when I was 5 years old. My parents saw my passion for music, and quickly enrolled me in classes for various instruments of my interest starting with the piano. I experienced the endless beauty of music, and how it feeds my soul. My passion grew, and I picked up the guitar as well, and it's been a blast! I wanted to share my love for music and decided to enable others with the knowledge to do so. I started teaching around the same time as my high-school graduation. My teacher signed off on my certificate of completion, and I've been teaching piano now for about 11 years.

It brings me so much joy to see my students thriving! Music is supposed to be fun. I encourage all of my students to create their own music, and find their own genres as we go on this musical journey together learning to play both by note, and by ear with practice, and spontaneously as we advance! Many of my students have accomplished their 1st piece within the first few classes. All of my classes are virtual at each of my students convenience...attending from the comfort of their own home. Classes are available to all ages. I have 1 approach I've used that was very helpful to me when I started out: Encouragement. We'll celebrate your accomplishments, modify and simplify what first looks intimidating, and have a good time conquering it! I can't wait to see you in class! :-)
