My name is Lisa Harmon and I am a mom of five and a Fine Arts Director at First Preparatory Christian Academy, where I teach music, dance, and worship to PreK-12th graders. I am a songwriter who has written music behind singers for their albums and am also a recording artist myself. Writing has taken a back seat to teaching and “momming” in this season of life but I still collaborate with others on projects.

My passion is in handing back to all people the gift of music in an accessible way to keep music making going throughout the next generations. I love partnering with people to learn their musical goals and create a roadmap to reaching that goal. The building blocks of music are the same whether you want to become a classical pianist virtuoso, play guitar in a jam band, write your own music, or just learn enough to plunk out your favorite melodies from a book for your own enjoyment.

I graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Music with a specialization in Music Education and concentration in piano and vocal music, but my unique musical experiences around the world have given me familiarity with teaching most instruments.
