About Me
I am a dedicated piano teacher and worship music leader with over 15 years of experience in music performance, vocal accompaniment, and leading live worship settings. My musical journey has been shaped by both formal teaching environments and practical, real-life experience in church and group settings, where I have developed strong skills in guiding musicians of different levels.
My teaching approach is structured yet flexible. I focus on building a strong foundation in technique, rhythm, and musical understanding, while also helping students develop confidence and musical expression. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to match individual goals—whether you are a complete beginner, someone returning to piano after a break, or an intermediate player looking to improve your skills.
In addition to technical training, I also emphasize musicality and real-world application, including contemporary and worship music styles, improvisation basics, and accompaniment skills. My goal is not only to help students play correctly, but to help them play meaningfully and with confidence.
Students working with me can expect a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment where progress is steady and measurable. I am passionate about helping others discover the joy of music and develop a lifelong skill they can enjoy in personal, professional, or ministry settings.
What I love most about teaching piano is seeing students grow in confidence as they begin to express themselves through music. I enjoy guiding each student step by step, turning what may seem difficult at first into something natural and enjoyable. Watching that “click moment” when everything starts to make sense is the most rewarding part of teaching for me.
My teaching environment is calm, supportive, and encouraging. I focus on creating a comfortable space where students feel safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and learn at their own pace without pressure. I believe that progress happens best when students feel relaxed and motivated.
During the first lesson, I usually start by understanding the student’s goals, background, and musical interests. Then we explore basic hand position, simple rhythm exercises, and a short interactive playing activity so the student can immediately experience music, even if they are complete beginners.
