Hi! I'm Melissa and I've had the pleasure of teaching music for 15 years now. I've taught in a wide variety of contexts, including private lessons, schools, churches, and studios, which means I bring an array of tools and skills to each lesson to help you achieve your goals. In your lessons, you can expect a creative approach tailored specifically to your interests, learning style, and skill level. In general, lessons typically consist of reviewing what you practiced, exercises, and song work. We will also discuss skills and songs you wish to work upon, as well as long-term goals. I most enjoy the moment in lessons when I'm able to help a student finally crack a concept they've been struggling with. Regarding my background, I have a bachelor's of music degree and am also a singer, dancer, and ukulele player. If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them.
