My name is Mia DiGiovanni, and I have a Bachelor of Music from Loyola University New Orleans. My skills are most catered towards working patiently and encouragingly with children as I introduce them to the basics of piano. I am equipped to take them all the way from learning note names to an early intermediate level of piano education. I am also a professional singer and have experience instructing children in the art of vocal performance. I can help them vocally with anything from musical theater to pop to classical music. In both areas, I like to find a balance between meeting children where they are at while always kindly pushing them towards the next level of excellence. I like getting to know my students and finding pieces that will interest them as I find it helps support the learning process when outside interests are combined with piano/voice. I have such a passion for sharing the beauty and excitement of music with others, so I try to approach my lessons in a way that will help the student see that excitement, too. However, I also know that excellence takes effort, so I will be sure to guide the student through lessons that will help them succeed as a young musician.
