Hello, I’m Mirka! I’m passionate about helping others experience the joy through music. I’ve played the piano since I was eight. I have taught piano to children of all ages, ranging from beginners to intermediate levels. I have also taught adults, and have been using piano playing throughout my 17-year career as a music therapist. My education includes a BA in music and a degree in music therapy. My goal is to teach piano online through engaging lessons in an encouraging, supportive, fun, and individualized setting. I especially enjoy teaching the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to get you started on your piano journey. I am classically trained and well-versed in teaching music theory concepts related to piano playing skills. I enjoy teaching music from various genres including classical, folk, rock, and pop. I have used piano improvisation and song writing to spark creativity and foster self-expression. I am looking forward to making music together!
