About Me

Ramona (Moni) Delgado is a classically trained pianist, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and music producer with over 14 years of teaching experience. She began her piano studies at Brooklyn Music School and later attended Cornell University, where she majored in Ethnomusicology and performed with the Cornell Gamelan Ensemble. She later earned certification in audio engineering from The Institute of Audio Research.

As a performer and creative artist, Moni has appeared at renowned New York City venues including Arlene’s Grocery, The Knitting Factory, and Joe's Pub. Her background also includes work in sound design, music production, songwriting, and audio engineering, giving students a uniquely well-rounded musical education that blends classical training with modern creativity and technology.

Moni teaches piano, voice, guitar, beat-making, music theory, songwriting, and music production, allowing students to build a strong musical foundation while exploring their individual interests and goals. Lessons are available both remotely from her professional music studio and in person, creating a high-quality and engaging learning environment for students of all ages and skill levels.

Her teaching style is patient, encouraging, and highly student-centered. Moni adapts each lesson to fit the student’s unique learning style, helping students develop confidence, creativity, and strong technical skills at their own pace. She believes music lessons should be both productive and enjoyable, and she strives to make learning music approachable, inspiring, and rewarding.

What makes Moni’s lessons unique is her ability to combine traditional musicianship with contemporary performance and production techniques. Whether a student wants to learn classical piano, play pop songs, write original music, improve music theory skills, or explore recording and production, Moni creates customized lessons that keep students motivated and excited to learn.
