Learn Piano with Rebekah Cook
“I specialize in Classical Piano Performance, and Music Theory”
About Me
I started learning piano at the age of four. I enjoyed the instrument and although I didn't take consistent lessons, I continued to learn the instrument. I began taking harp lessons at the age of 12 and continued those for five years. Throughout my teen years, I enjoyed performing harp at various venues and playing the piano regularly. I then went on to college and received my Bachelor of Arts in Music Pedagogy. I performed in piano recitals and studied a well-developed music sequence for teaching. My music training was classically based. In my own teaching, I've seen the solid foundation it builds for a lifetime of music enjoyment.
I have experience teaching various ages of students-- from small children to teens to adults. I spent six months as the only piano teacher at a start-up music school and had all my students perform in a recital at the end of the semester. Many of these students have continued to develop their skills and gone on to further music education.
I strive to foster musical growth, to build technique, and inspire a love of music in each of my students. I teach piano both in person and virtually and will tailor each lesson to the student's individual learning style.
