I've been playing piano since I was 5, and I pursued a Bachelor's degree in music. I have been classically trained in the greats, and I've also had extensive training in other genres - jazz, gospel, R&B, pop, etc. I am currently a composer and songwriter for various films and musical theater.

I have been teaching piano for over five years and it has been a joy! I've taught most age groups from Kindergarteners to grandfathers. What sets me apart from most is I try not to teach with books. Classes are usually done with notes that are written down on the screen live for the student to see as we progress at the given student's pace. I believe this allows for a more personalized approach for each student. For more advanced students (if they desire) I offer more extensive looks into music theory, jazz playing, improvisation, accompaniment, and history. Each student has a chance to learn about music far beyond playing "Ode to Joy" if they so please.

With each student, I aim to inspire minds, promote hard work ethics, and instill a passion for the arts in creative and engaging ways! Many of my students have gone to continue their piano careers far beyond my classroom. Some have even expanded their musicality to other instruments.
