Greetings, my name is Tim. I have been playing the piano, guitar, and ukulele for close to thirty years. I have been teaching piano, guitar, and ukulele for roughly fifteen years. For the last three years, I have been teaching online exclusively. I love music, and I love sharing all I have learned about music with my students. I teach people all of all ages, and currently have students that range from 5 years old to 75 years old! My lessons begin with an emphasis on by ear learning and pattern recognition, which stresses the fundamentals of scales, chords and notes. After such instrumental and musical familiarity is established, I introduce lessons on learning how to read music. I find that this combination of playing by ear and academic sight reading to be an ideal combination in familiarizing beginner and intermediate students with all the tools they need to establish a fulfilling and rewarding relationship with their instrument and music in general.
