Hello, my name is Zoe! I have been teaching for 2 years now and have played piano for 16. Piano was truly my first love and I teach to share that gift with others. I started playing when I was very young and began taking lessons at the Eastman School of Music when I was 12.

While I do hold my students to a high standard, I like to have fun as well! I never want piano lessons to start feeling like a chore. My teaching style tends to differ between students, as I like to tailor my strategy to what I think will best benefit each individual. However, I always emphasize quality practicing rather than simply time spent practicing.

My goal with each student is to bring them to the level of excellence where they can ultimately learn and achieve mastery of pieces themselves. Results significantly depend on the time and effort students put in, but I have not had a student yet that has not tremendously improved their technical skills and artistry through lessons.
