Hi, I’m Heather Petero. I’ve been teaching voice and piano for over 25 years and work with students ranging from beginners to professional-level artists. I’m a performer, studio owner, artist developer, and longtime worship leader who believes music training should prepare you for the real world — not just the recital stage.

My teaching style is serious but fun. We work hard, we laugh often, and we build skill with intention. I believe in strong technical foundations that hold up under pressure — whether that’s on stage, in a studio, in church, or in an audition room. For singers, that means healthy vocal production, breath support, tone development, range expansion, and stylistic versatility. For pianists, it means technique, theory, reading fluency, chord fluency, and the ability to play beyond the page.

I go beyond simply teaching songs. I train musicians. My students develop real-world musicianship including ear training, harmony, interpretation, stage presence, microphone technique, and performance confidence. I also provide artist development coaching for those pursuing recording, ministry, or professional performance opportunities.

Over the years, I’ve coached worship leaders, recording artists, aspiring professionals, serious students preparing for auditions, and adults rediscovering their voice or instrument. I tailor each lesson to the individual while maintaining clear standards and measurable progress. Students leave knowing exactly what to practice, how to practice it, and why it matters.
