Piano Lessons in Brighton

Ruoke Xu is a Chinese pianist who recently earned her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she studied with Renana Gutman. She received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music in Hangzhou, China, where she studied with Xuan Gong.

Xu has received recognition in several international piano competitions. Her awards include First Prize in the Debussy Group and Second Prize in the Haydn Group at the Singapore International Piano Competition (2021), First Place in the Zhejiang Division of the Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition, Second Prize at the Helen Taylor Johannesen International Piano Competition in Salt Lake City, and Third Prize at the China–Korea International Piano Competition in Busan.

As a performer, Xu has appeared in solo and chamber concerts in both China and the United States. Her recent performances include a graduate solo recital at the Longy School of Music, concerts at Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, and appearances at venues near Xihu (West Lake) in Hangzhou. She is also active as a collaborative pianist, performing in chamber music concerts and graduate recitals at Longy, as well as concerts at M. Steinert & Sons in Newton, Massachusetts.

In addition to performing, Xu is also active as a piano teacher. She previously taught at Huiyue Piano Art Center and Ningxia Piano Art Studio in China and worked as a teaching assistant at a piano summer camp in Lexington, Massachusetts.
