Piano Lessons in Cotswold

Greetings, I'm Corrina Music professional that has been playing piano since age 5. I am music artist that has a 5 piece band and we play in the local Charlotte area. I made the switch from corporate america to teaching piano, voice, and guitar about 4 years ago. It has been going wonderfully. Here is a little bit about my approach

General Music Theory- Students need to understand how all of these principles apply to all instruments. Theory is not just for piano, after my course they will be better musicians and can play any instrument with these same learnings. This can be inspiring for students and motivates them to learn.

3 Books- The biggest mistake teachers make is just using one book. In order to be successful you need to use at least 3 books.

-One Lesson book (Theory)

-Notespeller (Reading Grand Staff)

-Fingerpower (Building hand Dexterity, Coordiantion)

Fun- Kids are motivated by having fun. I mix up lessons with Jam Sessions and popular sheet music like "Happy Birthday" "Taylor Swift" "Harry Potter" Songs. This keeps kids motivated and engaded. I also motivate kids by awarding pins, stickers and high fives.

Success plan: I work with parents so they understand the regiment that is needed for kids to succeed. Kids need to be supported through music and need consistency if they are to progress. If you follow my plan success is guaranteed.
