Hi! I’m Demi, a piano teacher with over 10 years of experience playing and several years of experience working with beginner students.

I specialize in teaching young and beginner learners, and I focus on creating a calm, supportive environment where students can feel comfortable exploring music at their own pace. My approach is centered around building a strong foundation in rhythm, basic technique, and confidence, while keeping lessons engaging and enjoyable.

I understand that every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to match each student’s personality and needs. For younger students especially, I incorporate simple games, movement, and creative elements to help them stay engaged and develop a positive connection with music.

My goal is not just to teach piano, but to help students feel confident, capable, and excited to learn. I aim to create a space where they feel encouraged, supported, and proud of their progress—no matter how small.

In my lessons, I focus on helping kids feel comfortable, confident, and excited to play. Many of my students start as complete beginners, and within a few weeks they’re able to play simple songs and recognize patterns in music. I especially enjoy working with younger learners who may need a patient, encouraging approach to stay engaged.

Each lesson is structured but flexible depending on the student. We typically start with a quick warm-up, move into learning or reviewing songs, and include fun elements like rhythm games or creative exercises to keep things engaging. I adapt my teaching style to match each child’s personality, whether they are energetic, shy, or somewhere in between.

My goal is not just to teach piano, but to help students build confidence, focus, and a genuine enjoyment of music.
