Learn Piano with John Dye
“I specialize in Classical And Modern, Improvisation And Performance, and Music Theory And Chord Construction”
About Me
Hey there! My name is John Dye. I’ve been teaching piano for more than 6 years, and have been playing and performing for the last 18. I pride myself in the ability to adhere to each and every student’s needs, and I do my best to make sure the piano education process is enjoyable and successful. To me, having fun while playing is just as important as knowing how to play. I have taught a wide variety of students at various schools and church programs and I can say with certainty that I have seen it all. I firmly believe that with a little bit of practice and time, anyone can learn to play piano. My favorite type of playing nowadays is chord improvisation, especially with “7” and “9” chords. Additionally, I am thoroughly invested in classical music. Right now, I’m working on Fantasie Impromptu by Chopin, Postludium Op. 13 No. 10 by Ernö Dohnányi, and Arabesque No. 1 by Claude Debussy.
