Piano Lessons in Harper's Choice

Born in San Jose, California, Andrew began his piano studies with Larisa Konokova of the Pacific Music Academy at the age of five. He graduated from the Peabody Institute of Music of the Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor’s degree and also completed a master's degree there in piano performance under the acclaimed Professor Steven Spooner. Andrew is a prizewinner in the Gustav Mahler International, World Piano Teachers Association Finland, United States International Music, and United States Open Music Competitions.

Andrew is a dedicated instructor with experience teaching piano students of all levels and ages. He seeks to connect with his students, tailoring a lesson plan to nurture both musicality and technique in order to draw out each student's unique voice. Andrew’s love for teaching comes from his love for watching people grow and learn. His primary goal as an instructor is to not only teach his students music but also to teach them life skills that go beyond music and mentor them to become more thoughtful, dedicated individuals.
