Piano Lessons in Crown Point

I have been teaching piano for 20 years. I started teaching when I was in college, and I loved it so much and I kept teaching. Let me tell you about myself. I was raised and born in Hong Kong. I started learning piano since I was six. Following the ABRSM system, I went through the level 5 theory and passed the exam of level 5 piano. I was continuing the pursue of finishing up the whole program. However, I decided to come to the US as a foreign exchange student. So I paused my piano studies for a good couple years. Until I got to college, I missed piano playing a lot. I wanted to give music another chance. There I continued in my piano studies through my four year of college career. I graduated with a Music History degree. I am married and have 4 children with my husband. I taught piano and tutored over 20 students at a time in a summer piano camp. The joy of teaching piano is to see my students learning the skills and they can hear the hard work they put into learning their music. Most of all, seeing them understanding and be able to enjoy interpreting different genre of music bring so much delights in my life. We do duets, some improvisations, problem solving, and writing music to help build confidence, understanding, and musicality in not only piano playing but to be a well bound musician.
