About Me
Elizabeth is a senior vocal performance major at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, who studies vocal performance, musical theater, and management. As a music director, Elizabeth teaches music to theater companies and conducts around the United States. Most recently, Elizabeth music directed a musical theater cabaret with eighteen singers, focusing on musical theater solo and duet vocal technique. She has spent the past three years at college studying different kinds of music, including acapella singing, hand bells, church music direction, and performance of world music. When she is not performing in her touring choir, opera, or musicals, Elizabeth teaches voice and piano to students of all ages. Elizabeth teaches piano to students interested in musical theater, classical piano, music theory, and modern band keyboard study. Her teaching incorporates modern music and classical technique study. Elizabeth prioritizes finding techniques that work for students of all ages and levels, including different genre study, solo and accompaniment work, and varied levels of theory and ear training studies.
