Piano Lessons in Fanwood

I have been teaching music lessons since 1998. I work with all ages and skill levels.

I have played at Carnegie Hall as well as for Off-Broadway productions. For any instrument, I believe technique is super important so no one gets injuries. I keep students motivated and engaged by using a practice log so that they see their progress from week to week. I also utilize a metronome so that they can not only see, but hear their progress. I further engage them by asking them by asking them to read information from our books out loud. I also give little quizzes to aid with note recognition. My lessons are unique because I am a multi-instrumentalist 2 degrees in music and over 20 years of experience, and I also work for the school system and have a certification in special ed, elementary ed, English, Music and supervisor. Students have gone on to record their own music. I can prepare students for exams and competitions. I have a Bachelors in Music Education from TCNJ and a Masters in Music Performance from Five Towns College. I also have a Music Industry Essentials Certificate from NYU TISCH. I have played with the likes of Bernard Purdie, Rob Paparozzi, Jason “Malletman” Taylor, William “Spaceman” Paterson, Richie Cole, and many more. I continue to learn and study myself, taking lessons and attending NJ workshops and masterclasses. I teach in students’ homes as well as online. I teach drums and mallets, guitar, piano and keyboard, violin and voice.
