Piano Lessons in Huntington Beach

I am a professional musician with world tour experience in renowned bands (Journey’s Neal Schon and Greg Rolie etc) and decades of dedicated private music instruction experience (references available). I play and teach piano (keyboard styles), guitar (electric and acoustic, lead, rhythm techniques), bass guitar, and ukulele.

My approach is to encourage students to follow their passion for music, learning songs and materials chosen by the student.

Focus is often a balance of learning by ear, understanding basic charts, sight reading music notation. Each student can customize their own direction and material covered.

Chord charts, harmony theory, songwriting skill sets, notation reading shortcuts, keyboard shortcuts, fretboard theory, tips on memorizing keyboard and fretboard notes, playing by ear, improvisation techniques, scale application and easy to memorize tips for scales, etc.

I teach note by note solos of artists including billy joel, elton john, slash, eric johnson, john mayer, jimi hendrix, etc.
