Learn Piano with Clayton Foor
“I specialize in Piano Fundamentals, Working Knowledge Of Chords, and Composition And Arranging”
About Me
I believe every piano student should always be working on music he or she truly enjoys. For this reason, I give each of my students -- even the youngest beginners -- a project they are excited to be learning.
I’m grateful to have taught students of all ages — from the young age of 4 to retirement-aged adults — in a private piano teaching practice that I built from scratch starting in 2004 in the California Bay Area. I taught there through 2017. My roster of piano students was typically 35 to 40 students at any given time. Earlier this year I began teaching piano again here in the Tulsa area.
I currently serve as Music Director at First Lutheran Church in Tulsa. In addition, for over twelve years, I served on the faculty of the music department at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, CA as well as the music department of Las Positas College in Livermore, CA. My background also includes having served as a choir director for 3rd to 5th graders at Sunset Elementary School in Livermore, CA.
My music studies were at Stanford University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a concentration in Composition in 1994.
I look forward to the opportunity to the possibility of our working together.
