Piano Lessons in South Kansas City

My name is Elisabeth Lomax. I have a Doctorate Degree in Piano Performance/Piano Pedagogy. I have over 40 years of teaching experience.

I love working with students of all ages. My attitude toward teaching is that I want to make learning and practicing (I teach practicing - ) as fun as possible. We must teach core skills and follow a solid curriculum, but also - - the music is the motivation. I have spent many years arranging popular music at a students’ level. If a student begs to learn a popular piece of music, I will go out of my way to provide it.

I have also worked with students on Music Theory and Music Composition. I teach students how to use synthesizers and digital workstations, as well as music scoring programs like Dorico, and DAWS like Cubase. I have also trained people to play for Church Services and to accompany choirs and soloists.
