Piano Lessons in Katy

Hello! My name is Camila, and I am a piano instructor with nearly 15 years of piano experience, beginning my musical journey at the age of six. I am currently a Business and Music student at the University of North Texas (UNT), where I continue to strengthen both my musical knowledge and teaching approach.

I offer personalized piano lessons designed around each student’s individual goals, learning style, and pace. Whether a student is completely new to piano or already has some experience, my goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where they can build confidence, technique, creativity, and a genuine understanding of music. I currently teach students ranging from ages 6 to 19, but I welcome students of all ages who are interested in learning piano and music theory.

My lessons focus not only on learning songs, but also on understanding how music works. I incorporate music theory, ear training, rhythm, technique, improvisation, and creativity into lessons in a way that is simple and approachable. I especially enjoy helping students develop musical independence so they can confidently explore and create music on their own.

I also provide support for students interested in music theory development and ABRSM preparation. Lessons are adapted to fit each student’s experience level and personal interests to keep learning both productive and enjoyable.

In addition to teaching, I am currently developing my music business, Angel Songhouse. My long-term vision is to build a creative and welcoming space where musicians can learn, collaborate, and perform together. Through my teaching, I hope to inspire students not only to improve musically, but also to develop a lifelong appreciation for music and creativity.
