Hello! My name is Yarima Orellana, and I am a professional pianist and piano educator with more than 25 years of teaching experience working with children, teens, and adults of all levels — from complete beginners to advanced students. I am the founder and director of YOMA Music Academy in the Katy/Houston area, where I focus on creating a positive, structured, and inspiring learning environment that helps each student reach their full musical potential.

My teaching approach combines solid classical training with creativity, technique development, music theory, ear training, and repertoire that students truly enjoy. I believe that learning piano should be both disciplined and fun, which is why I personalize lessons according to each student’s age, goals, and learning style. I have extensive experience working with young beginners and know how to build strong musical foundations while keeping students motivated and confident.

Students in my studio develop not only piano skills, but also focus, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Performance opportunities, goal-based progress, and supportive guidance are key parts of my program.
