About Me

Music performance: - I Perform as pianist for various events and venues for many years.

Music Instructor: - I’m currently, and have been an instructor of jazz and classical music for over twenty years; teaching piano, string bass and electric bass to beginning students, intermediate students and advanced students individually and in groups. Music instruction I have provided, and still provide also includes instruction in music theory, ear training, jazz and classical improvisation, chord structure, chord progressions and music composition. I like to make music a fun experience for all students. Some of my students have worked with me for over five years, taking them from beginner to advanced intermediate and advanced.

I like to have students work towards achieving goals during the course of their music study. For example, the goals I usually set are periodic recitals where students are exposed to performing in front of an audience. Other goals include having students perform in groups of other students.

My primary goal as a musician is to expose people to the joys of music and the importance of music as a part of a person’s life. To help me achieve this goal, I’m open to any and all paid positions as a music instructor.

I'm a renowned musician with a diverse and adaptable style, perfect for any occasion. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Music, where I studied under the guidance of Steven Mannis. Throughout my career, I have performed with the Rochester Symphony Orchestra and at notable venues across the United States. In addition to my performances, I served as music director and organist at Alpine Church in Alpine, California.

My musical talents extend beyond my performances, as I have also played piano for jazz quartets and orchestras. In 1978 and 1979, I had the honor of serving as the piano accompanist for Gaines Steele, the last surviving member of the legendary Ink Spots.

Not only am I a gifted musician, but I'm also an experienced piano teacher. Over the years, many students have benefited from my instruction, honing their skills and developing their own love for music.
