Piano Lessons in Leeds

Described by Mozart as "one of a kind" and by Elton John as "out of this world", I am a Pianist & Music Teacher that hopes to replicate this magic with you!

I graduated in Music (BA) from the University of Leeds in 2023, studying a range of topics including Soul Music, Music Psychology and Music Theory. During that time I taught piano privately, as well as group and 1-1 lessons in primary schools around Leeds. Now, I teach Music at a local secondary school to students between the ages of 11-16!

Piano was introduced to me at the age of 3 and since then I've been playing ever since. Although when I was growing up... sometimes reluctantly. I remember occasions where I found it difficult and times where I stopped because I wasn't having fun anymore. That's what I want to focus on with you - how can we learn but also have fun with it?

Feel free to try out a FREE FIRST lesson with me. We can talk about what song you want to learn, what music you are interested in or try making something up immediately (my favourite thing!). I love working with any types of music, but particularly interested in Classical, Pop and Film Music. We can study through the grades together or alternatively work on all sorts of things that can include:

- Hand and Body Posture

- Improvisation

- Song-writing

- Reading Music

- Chords

- Exercises, including scales and arpeggios

Experience wise I am currently in a band that plays old Pop & Rock music (including Elvis and Chuck Berry). I play classical pieces at a hospital in Leeds, and I am currently writing new music designed to help people sleep!
