Piano Lessons in Long Island City

I am a professional musician, singer, and producer originally from Colombia with approximately eight years of teaching experience working with both children and adults. Alongside my performing career, teaching has always been an important part of my musical journey, as I truly enjoy helping others discover and develop their musical abilities.

My primary instrument is voice, but I also play several instruments, particularly Latin percussion. Growing up in Colombia, I was deeply surrounded by rhythm and traditional Latin music, which strongly influenced my musical identity. Instruments such as congas, bongos, and other percussion instruments are a natural extension of my musicianship, and I enjoy incorporating rhythm and groove into the learning process whenever possible.

My teaching style is energetic, positive, and engaging. I believe that learning music should never feel boring or overly rigid. Instead, it should be an inspiring and enjoyable process that awakens curiosity and motivates students to explore their instrument with enthusiasm. I aim to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and excited to grow musically.

In my lessons, I focus not only on technique and musical fundamentals but also on creativity, listening skills, and confidence. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to each individual in order to help them progress while maintaining their love for music. My goal is for students to leave each lesson feeling motivated, inspired, and eager to continue developing their musical voice..
