Piano Lessons in Arlington Heights

Since 2011, I have been offering private piano lessons in my students’ homes, in Los Angeles. I also offer online lessons, mostly to students in other cities and time zones. My formal education is in classical music (Bachelor of Musical Arts Degree) and Contemporary Keyboard/Digital Music (Associate’s Degree). I lived in Berlin, Germany for many years and worked as a freelance musician and teacher while there. My teaching style is patient and positive, and I encourage students to play by ear, improvise and to be creative at the piano, in addition to learning note-reading, theory and good technique. I am a composer and songwriter, and enjoy playing diverse styles from Classical to Salsa, Jazz to R&B and Gospel. I also offer the course that I’ve created called The Cosmic Piano Practice, which merges music with mindfulness practice and keyboard mastery. Over the years, I’ve taught many creatives such as actors, artists, singer-songwriters, music producers, film composers and musicians that play other instruments, as well as adult beginners and those who have returned to the piano after a long time. I enjoy teaching teenagers who are beginners, or those who may have been playing since childhood, but are looking for an approach that goes beyond note-reading and memorizing piano pieces. My mission is to help people discover their inner music, and to make a lifelong connection with the piano.
