About Me

Ms. Lin Ye is a versatile pianist and educator with techniques and insights incorporating both Asian and Western methodologies. She has taught students in all age groups for over a decade across classical, jazz, and pop music. Ms. Ye received her Master of Music in Classical Piano with President's Award from Manhattan School of Music in 2023, and she graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2021.

Ms. Ye has performed piano concerto by Liszt with symphony orchestra as a solo pianist, won international competitions, and held performances and solo recitals in many venues. She has a wide range of solo repertoire and presents masterpieces from Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary periods in different genres, including pieces from Bach, Rameau, Handel, Scarlatti, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Chopin, Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Liszt, Ravel, Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Gottschalk, Liebermann, Samuel Barber, Satie, Henry Cowell, Charles-Valentin Alkan, Georges Ocki-Albi, Nury Halmammedov, Yiruma, Yoshimatsu, Chu Wanghua, Wang Jianzhong, Fazil Say, Scott Joplin, Gershwin, pop music, fun/lesser-known works, and more.

Ms. Ye integrates music theory, ear training, and creativity to nurture holistic musical growth. She successfully prepares students for concerts, auditions, and ABRSM exams. Her students look forward to her lessons every week, and she also enjoys working with students with diverse interests and aims. Having the background in music and psychology, Ms. Ye merges knowledge and ideas of both fields to discover students’ characteristics and musical potentials, design lessons tailored to individuals, and educate students holistically in their own unique life-long relationships with the piano and music world.
