About Me
With over 15 years of experience as a dedicated piano teacher, I bring a deep passion for music education and performance to every lesson I teach. My goal is not only to help students learn how to play the piano, but to guide them toward a lifelong appreciation and understanding of music. Whether working with beginners taking their very first steps at the keyboard or advanced students refining their artistry, I tailor my teaching to meet each individual’s needs, goals, and musical interests.
I specialize in teaching students of all ages, from young children to adults. I believe that anyone can learn to play the piano with the right guidance, encouragement, and structure. For younger students, I focus on building strong foundational skills in a fun and engaging way, helping them develop coordination, rhythm, and a love for music early on. For teens and adults, lessons are often more goal-oriented, whether that means mastering a favorite song, preparing for performances, or developing advanced technique and musical expression.
One of the defining aspects of my teaching is versatility. I teach a wide range of musical styles, including Classical, Pop, Rock, Jazz, and Latin music. This diversity allows students to explore different genres and discover what truly inspires them. While classical training provides a solid technical and theoretical foundation, incorporating contemporary and popular styles keeps lessons fresh, relevant, and motivating. Students are encouraged to explore their own musical tastes while still developing disciplined practice habits and strong technical skills.
In addition to technique, I emphasize musicality and performance. Playing the piano is not just about accuracy—it is about communication and expression. I encourage students to think about the story behind the music, to shape phrases with intention, and to connect emotionally with what they are playing. Performance opportunities, whether formal or informal, are an important part of the learning process. They help students build confidence, discipline, and stage presence, all of which are valuable skills both in music and in life.
