Piano Lessons in Manhattan

Hello!

My name is Brent and I am a pianist and music director based in New York City. I have played piano for 30 years as a concert soloist, collaborative specialist, and an orchestra pit musician for musical theatre. Most recently, I served as the pianist for the Broadway National Tour of Chicago the Musical, playing in theatres across North America. I hold a BM in Classical Piano Performance from the University of Montevallo and a MM in Music Direction for Musical Theatre from Arizona State University.

As a teacher, I specialize in classical, collaborative, and musical theatre piano, but most importantly, I want to make sure you enjoy making music! My teaching style is specifically tailored to your needs and goals, whether that be serious conservatory study or performing in your living room for your cats. I aim to foster a solid foundation in technique, musicality, and artistry, regardless of what kind of music you play. I can’t wait to guide you on your musical journey!
