Piano Lessons in Newfoundland

Hello 🎶 My name is Olivia, and I’m a piano and cello teacher. I’ve taught music since I was 19, called to it without even knowing I was going to fall in-love with teaching. In my lessons, we focus on more than just music- I believe that all aspects of learning should be considered. Music is the expression of the soul, and it’s a way for us to communicate with more than just words.

Because my formal education is based in chemistry and psychology, the approach I take to music lessons encompasses and considers the brain and how one learns. I heighten on strengths and carefully harbor the skills that are not. I utilize Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, roping in relevant learning from school, sports, and activities that create a connection between all things in a student’s life, instead of seeing music as an independent extracurricular of its own.
