Piano Lessons in Ocala

I've been teaching almost over a year now, but don't let that get in the way! I've been playing piano for over 11 years now, and have spent my later years in school preforming on stage with my instrument.

My goal in teaching is to teach you how to learn and play anything you want to learn and play. With core fundamentals I believe anyone can learn to learn- wether it classical, pop, rock, electro, or even writing your own. I always start with motor fundamentals, tuning your hands to know the keys without having to look. Then we move onto how to read sheet music and understanding rythm, and how to combine rhythm to form melodies. After that we expand, moving across the keyboard into more octaves and fine tuning. After this the BIG question I love to ask comes! "What do YOU want to play?"

While every genere has the core fundamentals, they each require their own attention and training! For composing your own music, we'd go deeper into music theory and it's relation to what sounds good and what sounds interesting. For modern music like pop or rock, I'd ask for a couple of songs you'd want to learn, and work on analyzing the song audio wise to be able to play it on your own. For classical, the training continues but to more advanced techniques.

I teach guitar the same as well! I've been playing for 5 years, preforming and teaching it all the same. My teaching process goes motor, method, song, then genere choosing!
