Hello! My name is Kristen D’Avanzo, and I have been passionately teaching music for over 23 years. With more than two decades of experience in the public school system, I’ve had the privilege of working with both elementary and middle school students, helping them grow not only as musicians but as confident learners.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Voice and Piano from Manhattanville University, which has given me a strong foundation in both performance and pedagogy. I truly love working with students and watching their progress—from their very first notes to more advanced musical achievements.

My teaching style is fun, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. Whether your child is just beginning or looking to advance their skills, I strive to create a positive and encouraging learning environment.

I have also successfully prepared students for festivals and competitions such as NYSSMA and All-County, helping them build confidence and perform at their best.
