If I had to sum up my teaching style, I’d say it’s patient, kind, and encouraging. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach—every student is different, so I take the time to figure out what works best for each individual. Instead of expecting students to adapt to my methods, I adapt to how they learn. There are so many ways to approach an instrument, and I like to keep that door wide open.

At the heart of it all is joy—the moment when a student realizes they can play something they once thought was out of reach. That spark is everything.

I’ve been teaching for quite a while, and I’ve also learned how important it is for students to connect with the music they’re playing. If their goal is classical, we’ll stay grounded in that tradition. But if they’re excited about contemporary or modern music too, I love weaving that in as well. When students can relate to what they’re playing, the experience becomes more meaningful—and a lot more fun.
