Piano Lessons in Northeast Portland

My name is Chanakarn but my students call me Miss Loukwha! I have been teaching music for more than 10 years. My first and main instrument is guitar. I started when I was teenager with the dream of becoming rock star! I graduated with a music degree from a college in Bangkok, Thailand. When I moved to the United States I started teaching music at a Montessori school in Washington State. I conducted several of their concerts with 120 students on the stage! Later on my husband and I moved to Hawaii where I discovered a very cool instrument, the Ukulele. It has a unique sound and is a very friendly instrument for all ages to learn. I taught music at an Elementary School in Honolulu and conducted their concert as well. I also taught private guitar, ukulele and piano lessons and held recitals for my students on the island. For me teaching music is more than just showing my students how to play an instrument. It is to show them the joy of music! I always make sure that my lessons are fun and that my students enjoy learning music. It makes me happy to see that my students are excited about lessons. Besides teaching music, I love outdoor activities such as hiking with my two dogs, snorkeling, snowboarding, taking pictures and gardening.
