Piano Lessons in Southwest Raleigh

My name is Josh Mickens, and I am a passionate music educator with over four years of experience teaching drums and piano. Alongside teaching, I’ve performed in a wide range of settings, from local venues to renowned stages such as Carnegie Hall, as well as on international tours in Japan. These experiences have strengthened my musicianship and broadened my ability to relate to students with different goals and backgrounds. I find the greatest fulfillment in helping students grow and succeed. Whether working with beginners or more advanced musicians, I focus on building strong fundamentals while keeping lessons engaging and personalized. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel confident exploring their creativity and developing their skills. My goal is not only to improve technique and strengthen my students musical ear, but to inspire a lasting appreciation for music and help each student reach their full potential. I look forward to working with some new and amazing students!
