“I specialize in Classical Piano Performance, Classical Voice, and Music Theory”
About Me
I grew up in Eastern Europe and was trained in the arts under the old Soviet system, which has always been highly esteemed throughout the world. While studying in such circumstances was certainly difficult at times, I'm nonetheless indebted to it for many reasons, including the strong work ethic, high expectations of myself, and keen attention to detail it successfully instilled within me. With that said, however, another key lesson the Soviet system taught me was the need to adopt a much softer and more balanced teaching approach with my own students.
By the age of fifteen I had received ten years of classical piano training at a music school in Eastern Europe. I subsequently entered another music school to receive three years of classical voice training, which finally led me to the Odesa National Academy of Music where I earned a Master of Arts degree in 2006.
My teaching style is intentionally geared toward progress yet very casual and uniquely adapted to meet the specific needs of each individual.
Here's what you can expect:
- A personalized approach tailored to your unique needs and preferences.
- A gentle teaching style that adapts to your pace and learning style.
- A supportive environment where your passion for music can flourish.
Beginners who study with me once a week are oftentimes playing the piano with both hands within five to six months.
Aside from the lessons I also offer my students group-based seminars as well as opportunities to participate in special events like recitals for the purpose of enriching their overall learning experience.
More important to me than any money I may earn from teaching is the joy and satisfaction of passing my skills and knowledge on to my students to see them grow and develop a love for music similar to my own.
I look forward to hearing from you!
