Piano Lessons in Ringwood

Hello, I’ve been teaching for 30+ years, developing strategies and teaching techniques that have proven to help individuals seek their goals and explore their talents in music. Each person is so individual that not one approach can be successful for everyone so I have come to adjust to the students needs so that the approach works for the individual.

Foundation and a good start is essential however, once the student has established the fundamentals, I help students to explore music of different styles and pieces partially of their choice so that we work together and we are accomplishing lessons that are fun, motivating, productive, inspiring, and instilling a love for Music that will hopefully last a lifetime.

I have confirmed certain teaching materials, and books that have proven successful, which I recommend to students of different levels.

The lessons focus on learning to read music, developing finger technique, learning a collection of songs that develops into more intermediate and advanced repertoire as the student progresses.

Students should feel open to express their needs and desires. Part of succeeding is working together and making every lesson meaningful and meeting weekly goals to the best effort of each student.
