Piano Lessons in Blue Oaks

Hi! My name is Michael. I’ve been a professional pianist for 25+ years and have traveled the world as a pianist and conductor from Broadway musicals to orchestral arena tours and everything in between. My decades of experience mean I can provide working knowledge and real-world application of what is being taught so you get the most out of your lessons. I believe a strong foundation is paramount to being able to play well, and that results are most visible through hard work that starts from a place of thorough understanding. Most of us wouldn’t walk into a gym and pick up he gravest dumbbell and assume we could lift it with ease… We’d probably have to start light and build up to a heavier weight. That’s my approach to teaching piano as well. I love to motivate through positive encouragement but will be tough. You will be expected to put in your time and effort and I will return that energy by being a supportive coach!
