Piano Lessons in North Central

Hello everyone! My name is Paola Haro. I’m currently finishing my last year at Trinity University, where I’m earning my bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Art. Music has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been playing the piano since I was five years old, and I graduated from a private music school called La Clave in 2022. I started teaching piano when I was in high school and continued through my first few years of college. I’ve developed a teaching style that is energetic, patient, and very student-centered. I really enjoy celebrating my students’ progress, no matter how small, because it helps build their confidence and keeps them motivated. What makes my lessons special is that I don’t just follow a strict routine. I connect lessons to what each student enjoys. Whether it’s a favorite movie, TV show, or song, I try to incorporate those interests so learning feels fun and personal. I also work at each student’s pace, making sure they feel comfortable while still challenging them enough to grow. In my lessons, we start with the basics, like learning music notes and how they relate to the piano, and then gradually build skills like rhythm, technique, and reading music. It all depends on how advanced or new the student is. I do create custom plans and schedule that vary to change that i share with both students and family. My goal is not just for students to learn how to play, but to truly enjoy the process and feel proud of their progress, confident in their abilities, and excited about music every time they sit down to play.
